Gender equality

The participation of women and girls is the key to our continent's future. This conviction drives all our actions. Our work in this area has included stimulating discussions on gender equity across the continent, involving local leaders in campaigns to break taboos around menstrual hygiene. We also support and host the Ouagadougou Partnership Coordination Unit (OPCU), an organization committed to doubling the number of modern contraceptive users by 2030.
