Children are most vulnerable to malaria, yet their voices often go unheard. It’s time to change the story.

The Zero Malaria: Change the Story amplifies children’s voices to inspire and galvanize world leaders to act. We are facing a perfect storm of challenges: resistance to current tools, extreme weather events, humanitarian crises, and funding shortfalls. Failing to act now will lead to a resurgence of malaria. Never before have we had such a powerful set of tools to fight malaria: from next generation mosquito nets and new antimalarial drugs to vaccines.

On May 13, 2025, on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan, Speak Up Africa, in partnership with Malaria No More UK, The RBM Partnership to End Malaria and the Africa Malaria Leaders Alliance will organize the launch of the Francophone chapter of the Change the Story campaign video and report in order to:

• Position malaria elimination as a strategic investment for economic growth, emphasizing the economic burden of malaria on productivity, workforce, and healthcare systems and showcasing successful models of corporate engagement in malaria elimination, emphasizing shared value and economic benefits.
• Mobilize the private sector to support and invest in the Voix EssentiELLES for Malaria Elimination Fund.
• Share compelling stories of women and girls affected by malaria, positioning them as advocates and change agents and recognizing female entrepreneurs and innovators driving solutions in malaria prevention and treatment.
