Kenneth Prudencio

Program Officer Global Health R&D

Kenneth Prudencio is an advocacy and project management professional with a passion for ensuring that the voices and needs of the most vulnerable shape development policies and strategies.  He has several years’ experience in Côte d’Ivoire and France, where he designed and deployed impactful health advocacy strategies and activities, and developed partnerships with African national authorities and international decision-makers.

Today, he puts his expertise at the service of Speak Up Africa’s research and development program. In this capacity, he contributes to amplifying the voices and impact of African scientists and coalitions so that research and development for health in Africa can benefit from improved policies and increased funding on the continent. With his rigorous, analytical mind, Kenneth aims to help put health research and development in Africa at the top of the continent’s agenda.

His work has enabled him to mobilize African and Ivorian MPs champions, local elected representatives and coalitions of CSOs and youth organizations around the issues of health in general and health financing in particular. He believes in the ability of African communities and NGOs to contribute effectively to strengthening African healthcare systems.

Kenneth firmly believes that improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare is fundamental to improving the human capital of African communities. To this end, he believes that solutions must first be found at the African level, by Africans, for Africans, both in innovation and in health research and development. It is with this in mind that he is committed to a long-term involvement with Speak Up Africa.
